Latest News From Victoria.
Vickie Janson, our lead senate candidate for Victoria in the 2013 federal election, just returned from a very successful trip to regional areas, addressing various groups about the need for Christian voice in the parliaments of this great country.
Her itinerary included:
Castlemaine: Vickie had a 1 hour interview with Shirley Collier on Central Victorian Gospel Radio 105.1 FM (to be later this year) followed by addresses to both the Castlemaine Church of Christ and Liberty Christian Life Centre’s Cafe Church.
Later, Vickie addressed the Olivet Christian College school assembly.
In Mildura Vickie had an interview with Dennis Payne on Sonshine Christian Radio followed by a meeting at the Living Waters Church
Vickie and her husband Michael then met with 3 pastors in Swan Hill at the Grain Shed Church of Christ to introduce Australian Christians.
To conclude Vickie was able to present to an enthusiastic audience at Ballarat City Church’s Vivacious Women’s Conference
Here is just some of the feedback from Vickie’s trip:
Dallas Clarnette wrote: About 45 pastors and church leaders gathered at Living Waters Centre, Mildura for Vickie Janson’s visit on Tuesday 28 August. She received a warm and enthusiastic response. Pastor Des Kranz of Living Waters said he wanted to organize a return visit for Vickie nearer the election. Vickie was also interviewed on Good News Radio, SonFM88 for over half and hour. Dallas Clarnette’s short term ministry in Mildura enabled him to set this meeting up. Information packs were distributed and well received. En route home, Vickie and Michael also called on some church leaders in Swan Hill another important regional centre
Dear Vickie and Michael,
Just a quick message to thank you so much for the lovely weekend we shared and also for your ministry to us and to the staff and students at Olivet. It was great what you shared and very appropriate to all students. Thanks for going a little deeper with the issues with the secondaries – they need to be aware of what we are likely to face as a nation in the future.
May the Lord continue to uphold you and sustain you in the frontline.
Love and God’s blessings,
